Did you know that Scantronic i-on panels support multiple ways of being set up to match the layout and use a property. These modes are called Part Set or Partition, but what is best for your customer.
Part Set mode is best suited when it is a single building with typically one main entry and exit, a typical example is a house with the front door being the main entry and exit. When the occupant leaves the property then the system can be Full Set, but when they remain inside then it is possible to Part Set. By Part Setting a property this means that selected detectors can be ignored to allow normal movement within the property but providing protection in areas where people are not occupying it. A typical Part Set would be used at night, leaving any detection upstairs disabled but detection on the ground floor fully enabled.
Partition mode is a little bit more complex, this is best suited where there are multiple different areas with their own entry and exits, a typical example would be an office building with different business occupying each floor. Partition mode allows each businesses office to be independently set or unset, for example the office on the 3rd floor could be set and the office on the 2nd floor could be unset. This means a single Scantronic i-on control panel can provide protection to multiple areas at once. For more complex scenarios it is also possible to set up Part Sets within a Partition.
